Elevations of 1200-3200 m from central Jalisco aeast through northern Michoacán and the eastern part of the state of México and Morelos, north through Tlaxcala to eastern Hidalgo, and south through central Puebla and a small portion of western Veracruz to the highlands of northwestern Oaxaca, Mexico.
