Rana macrops Boulenger, 1897, Proc. Zool. Soc. London, 1897: 233. Syntypes: BMNH (8 specimens); NHMB 1022 (presumably exchanged from BM) designated lectotype by Forcart, 1946, Verh. Naturforsch. Ges. Basel, 57: 128. Type locality: "Masarang Mts., Matinang Mts., 3300 feet, and Takalekadjo Mts., towards Lake Posso, 3000 feet", Celebes, Indonesia; restricted to Takalekadjo Mts., towards Lake Possi, 3000 feet, by lectotype designation.
