Amolops pallasitatus Qi, Zhou, Lyu, Lu, and Li in Qi, Zhou, Lyu, Lu, Wan, Hou, Guo, and Li, 2019, Asian Herpetol. Res., 10: 225. Holotype: SYNU 1507035, by original designation. Type locality: "a stream close to the China-Nepal border (27.92° N, 87.47° E; 3270 m a.s.l.), Chentang Town, Dinggyê County, Tibet Autonomous Region, China."

Chentang Cascade Frog (original publication). 

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Chentang Town, Dinggyê County, Tibet, China, 3270 m elevation), although presumably also distributed in adjacent Nepal.

Comment

Most similar to Amolops himalayanus and Amolops formosus, according to the original publication, but arguably the sister taxon of Amolops medogensis + Amolops viridimaculatus on the basis of molecular data. In the Amolops viridimaculatus group of Jiang, Ren, Lyu, Wang, Wang, Lv, Wu, and Li, 2021, Zool.
