Ptychadena harenna Largen, 1997, Tropical Zool., 10: 224. Holotype: LIV 1986.212.284, by original designation. Type locality: "west bank of the Yadot River (close to its confluence with the Shisha River), Bale Mountains National Park, Ethiopia (06° 32′ N 39° 46′ E), altitude 1550 m)".

Distribution
Known only from the type locality in Bale Mountains National Park, Ethiopia, at 1550 m elevation.
