Pelodytes ibericus Sánchez-Herraíz, Barbadillo-Escrivá, Machordom, and Sanchíz, 2000, Herpetologica, 56: 111. Holotype: MNCN 23662, by original designation. Type locality: "Doñana Biological Reserve (36° 59′ N, 6° 27′ W, elevation 10 m), Province of Huelva (Spain)".
