Comment

In the Litoria aurea group of Tyler and Davies, 1978, Aust. J. Zool., Suppl. Ser., 27 (63): 12, and the Litoria aurea complex of Barker, Grigg, and Tyler, 1995, Field Guide Aust. Frogs., Ed. 2: 100. For discussion see Tyler, Davies, and King, 1978, Trans. R. Soc. S. Aust., 102: 17-24. Burns and Crayn, 2006, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 39: 573-579, excluded Litoria dahlii from the Litoria aurea group. Tyler and Doughty, 2009, Field Guide Frogs W. Aust., 4th ed.: 74, provided an account for Western Australia and suggested that the range extends to southern New Guinea, but did not specify whether Papua New Guinea, or Papua, Indonesia. See brief account by Tyler and Knight, 2009, Field Guide Frogs Aust.: 66-67. Anstis, Rowley, and Altig, 2016, Zootaxa, 4126: 146–150, reported on larval morphology (as Litoria dahlii).
