"Litoria" louisiadensis (Tyler, 1968)
Hyla louisiadensis Tyler, 1968, Zool. Verh., Leiden, 96: 124. Holotype: AMNH 60133, by original designation. Type locality: "Mount Rossell, Rossell Island, Louisiade Archipelago, [Milne Bay Province, Papua] New Guinea".
Litoria louisiadensis — Tyler, 1971, Univ. Kansas Publ. Mus. Nat. Hist., 19: 353.
"Litoria" louisiadensis — Duellman, Marion, and Hedges, 2016, Zootaxa, 4104: 39. Incertae sedis within Pelodryadidae.
English Names
Rossell Island Treefrog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 59).
Distribution
Known only from the type localities (Rossell [= Yela] and Sudest [= Tagula] Islands, Louisiade Archipelago, Papua New Guinea).
Comment
In the monotypic Litoria louisiadensis group of Tyler and Davies, 1978, Aust. J. Zool., Suppl. Ser., 27 (63): 31. Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 150, provided a brief account.
