Proceratophrys minuta Napoli, Cruz, Abreu, and Del Grande, 2011, Zootaxa, 3133: 39. Holotype: UFBA 6721, by original designation. Type locality: "Riacho do Dandá (11° 26′ S, 40° 33′ W, ca. 800 m above sea level), Parque Estadual das Sete Passagens (an environmental State protected area), Municipality of Miguel Calmon, State of Bahia", Brazil.

Distribution

Seasonal semi-deciduous forests of the Serra de Jacobina, a regional designation of the Espinhaço mountain range as well as far south near Palmeiras, all in Bahia, Brazil.

Comment

Most similar to Proceratophrys schirchi according to the original publication. Teixeira, Amaro, Recoder, Vechio, and Rodrigues, 2012, Zootaxa, 3551: 25-42, provided a range map and noted the southern record near Palmeiras, Bahia, Brazil. Nascimento, Abreu, Menezes, Trevisan, Solé, Juncá, and Napoli, 2019, S. Am. J. Herpetol., 14: 24–36, reported on the advertisement call.
