Microhyla marmorata Bain and Nguyen, 2004, Copeia, 2004: 508. Holotype: AMNH 161364, by original designation. Type locality: "Po-mu Mountain, Huong Son Reserve (now known as Huong Son Forestry and Service Company), Huong Son District, Rao An Region, Ha Tinh Province, Vietnam (18° 20′ 53″ N, 105° 14′ 38″ E, elevation 1010-1080 m)".

Distribution

Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Kon Tum, Thanh Hoa, and Thua Thien-Hue Provinces in Vietnam; also in adjacent Laos in Khammouane and Boli Khamxai provinces.

Comment

Confused with Microhyla annamensis prior to its description according to the original publication. Nguyen, Ho, and Nguyen, 2005, Checklist Amph. Rept. Vietnam: 45, provided specific localities for Vietnam. Bain, Nguyen, and Doan, 2007, Herpetol. Rev., 38: 107, provided a record from Thua Thien-Hue Province, Vietnam, and briefly discussed the range. Pham, Nguyen, Hoang, and Ziegler, 2016, Herpetol. Notes, 9: 35, provided a record for Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam, and commented on the range.
