Microhyla gadjahmadai Atmaja, Hamidy, Arisuryanti, Matsui, and Smith, 2018, Treubia, 45: 29. Holotype: MZB Amph 26081, by original designation. Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu Utara, Curup, and Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu Province; Tanggamus and Lampung Tengah Regency, Lampung Province; and Muara Enim Regency and Pagar Alam City, South Sumatra Province, island of Sumatra, Indonesia, elevation 700 to 1647 m.

Comment

The sister taxon of Microhyla achatina according to the original publication. Gorin, Solovyeva, Hasan, Okamiya, Karunarathna, Pawangkhanant, de Silva, Juthong, Milto, Nguyen, Suwannapoom, Haas, Bickford, Das, and Poyarkov, 2020, PeerJ, 8 (e9411): 1–47, placed this species in their Microhyla achatina group and noted that it is composed of two cryptic species. Putri, Satria, Kardiman, and Nugraha, 2023, J. Biol. Tropis, 23: 32–38, discussed morphological variation in West Sumatra, Indonesia. Virdana, Septiansyah, Kubontubuh, Akbar, Wahyudi, and Eveisca, 2023, Check List, 19: 429–432, reported on new records from West Sumatra, Indonesia.
