Andaman Islands of India; recorded from North Andaman, Middle Andaman, South Andaman, Rutland, Little Andaman, Long Island, and Neil Island.

India Sri Lanka: 59, suggested that the species closely resembles Microhyla achatina, Microhyla heymonsi, Microhyla palmipes, and Microhyla superciliarisHarikrishnan and Vasudevan, 2018, Alytes, 36: 244, commented on the distribution and natural history in the Andaman Islands, India.
