Microhyla chakrapanii Pillai, 1977, Proc. Indian Acad. Sci., Ser. B, 86: 135. Holotype: ZSI-SRS VA/770 according to Chanda, Das, and Dubois, 2001 "2000", Hamadryad, 25: 105. Type locality: "Mayabunder (east of Burma temple), North Andamans", India.

Distribution

Andaman Islands of India; recorded from North Andaman, Middle Andaman, South Andaman, Rutland, Little Andaman, Long Island, and Neil Island.

 Chanda, 2002, Handb. Indian Amph.: 39, provided a brief account. Dutta, 1997, Amph. India Sri Lanka: 59, suggested that the species closely resembles Microhyla achatina, Microhyla heymonsi, Microhyla palmipes, and Microhyla superciliarisHarikrishnan and Vasudevan, 2018, Alytes, 36: 244, commented on the distribution and natural history in the Andaman Islands, India.
