Known from the type locality on the Sorata Massif and from the Marojejy Massif, both in the Sava Region, northeastern Madagascar, ca. 250 to 1250 m elevation.

Rakotoarison, Scherz, Bletz, Razafindraibe, Glaw, and Vences, 2019, Salamandra, 55: 115–123, provided the record for the Marojejy Massif in north-eastern Madagascar.
