Known only from Marojejy National Park between 480–1350 m elevation, Madagascar.

Madagascar, Ed. 3: 128 (who provided an account and noted a similar unnamed species from Voloina, Madagascar), where it had been placed by Blommers-Schlösser and Blanc, 1991, Faune de Madagascar, 75: 105.
