Distribution

Low elevations in the central to northeast of Madagascar, sea level to ca. 700 m elevation.

Comment

Removed from the synonymy of Plethodontohyla alluaudi by Bellati, Scherz, Megson, Roberts, Andreone, Rosa, Noël, Randrianirina, Fasola, Glaw, and Crottini, 2018, Zoosyst. Evol., 94: 109, where it had been placed by Blommers-Schlösser and Blanc, 1991, Faune de Madagascar, 75: 62.
