Oreophryne kapisa Günther, 2003, Zool. Abh. Staatl. Mus. Tierkd. Dresden, 53: 66. Holotype: ZMB 65875, by original designation. Type locality: "near the village of Arwe, central north Biak, 0° 56′ S and 135° 59′ E, Papua, Indonesia".
