Oreophryne kampeni Parker, 1934, Monogr. Frogs Fam. Microhylidae: 164. Holotype: BMNH 1897.12.10.143, by original designation; renumbered BMNH 1947.2.12.14 according to Zweifel, 1985, in Frost (ed.), Amph. Species World: 370. Type locality: "Moroka [Central Province], British New Guinea [Papua New Guinea]".

Asterophrys kampeni — Dubois, Ohler, and Pyron, 2021, Megataxa, 5: 521, by implication.

Distribution

Known only from the type locality, Moroke, in the hills behind Port Moresby, 1000 m elevation, Central Province, Papua New Guinea.
