Microhylidae: 175) and MSNG (2 specimens from Moroka), by original designation; MSNG 29934A designated lectotype by Capocaccia, 1957, Ann. Mus. Civ. Stor. Nat. Genova, Ser. 3, 69: 220. Type locality: "Moroka" and "Mt. Victoria"; restricted to "Moroka", Central Province, Papua New Guinea by lectotype designation. Placed on Official List of Specific Names in Zoology by Opinion 1266, Anonymous, 1984, Bull. Zool. Nomencl., 41: 12.

Cophixalus aimbensis Hiaso, 2002, Sci. New Guinea, 27: 97. Holotype: UP 8469, by original designation. Type locality: "50 m altitude from the bank of Aimba River (110° 29′ S, 153° 29′ E), Tagula Island, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea". Synonymy by Kraus, 2012, Zootaxa, 3559: 5.

Distribution

Southern and eastern Papua New Guinea, including islands in the d'Entrecasteaux and Louisiade groups.
