Cophixalus verecundus Zweifel and Parker, 1989, Am. Mus. Novit., 2954: 16. Holotype: AMNH 130405, by original designation. Type locality: "Myola Guest House, 2080 m, 7 km south, 6 km west of Mt. Bellamy, Northern Province, Papua New Guinea".

Asterophrys verecunda — Dubois, Ohler, and Pyron, 2021, Megataxa, 5: 479, by implication.

English Names

Myola Rainforest Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 89).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (near Myola, in the Owen Stanley Range, Northern Province, Papua New Guinea).
