Barygenys maculata Menzies and Tyler, 1977, J. Zool., London, 183: 447. Holotype: UP 5090, by original designation. Type locality: "approximately three kilometers northwest of Agaun, Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea, altitude 1500 m".
