Distribution
Silent Valley, north of the Palgat Gap in the Western Ghats of Kerala, South India.
Comment
See brief account by Chanda, 2002, Handb. Indian Amph.: 65. Closely related to Micrixalus thampii according to Dutta, 1997, Amph. India Sri Lanka: 140-141, who provided range, systematic comments, and partial taxonomic bibliography. A very brief characterization, photograph, and dot map provided by Subramanian, Dinesh, and Radhakrishnan, 2013, Atlas of Endemic Amph. W. Ghats: 68. Biju, Garg, Gururaja, Shouche, and Walujkar, 2014, Ceylon J. Sci., Biol. Sci., 43: 1-87, provided an account, placed the species phylogenetically, and placed it in their Micrixalus nudis group. Sivaprasad, 2013, Common Amph. Kerala: 78–79, provided a brief account, photograph, and dot map for Kerala, India.
