Brachytarsophrys popei Zhao, Yang, Chen, Chen, and Wang, 2014, Asian Herpetol. Res., 5: 154. Holotype: SYS a001867, by original designation. Type locality: "Taoyuandong Nature Reserve (26°30′8.79″ N, 114°03′38.27″ E; 1045 m a.s.l.), Yanling County, Hunan Province, China".

Distribution

Mount Jinggang, Jiangxi Province, the adjacent Taoyuangdong Nature Reserve and Mangshan, Yizhang County, Hunan Province, and the Nanling Reserve, Guangdong Province, China, at 900 to 1300 m elevation along rocky streams in moist subtropical evergreen broadleaves forests.
