Comment
Megophrys nasuta was removed from the synonymy of Megophrys montana by Taylor, 1962, Univ. Kansas Sci. Bull., 43: 284-287, where it had been placed by Inger, 1954, Fieldiana, Zool., 33: 223; Inger, 1966, Fieldiana, Zool., 52: 39-46 (but who recongized it as distinct later: Inger and Tan, 1996, Raffles Bull. Zool., 44: 554). See account for Javan population (as Megophrys montana) in Liem, 1973 "1971", Philipp. J. Sci., 100: 138-140. Berry, 1975, Amph. Fauna Peninsular Malaysia: 39, discussed the Malaysian populations as Megophrys monticola and Lim and Lim, 1992, Guide Amph. Rept. Singapore: 20, provided a brief account. See brief account and photo by Manthey and Grossmann, 1997, Amph. Rept. Südostasiens: 81-82. Nutphund, 2001, Amph. Thailand: 81, provided a brief characterization and photograph of a specimen referred to this species from Thailand. Malkmus, Manthey, Vogel, Hoffmann, and Kosuch, 2002, Amph. Rept. Mount Kinabalu: 112-114, provided an account. Chan-ard, 2003, Photograph. Guide Amph. Thailand: 82-83, provided a very brief account, map for Thailand, and photograph. Das, Jankowski, Makmor, and Haas, 2007, Mitt. Hamburg. Zool. Mus. Inst., 104: 155, provided a brief description. Das, 2007, Amph. Rept. Brunei: 38, provided a photograph and a brief account. See brief account by Grismer, 2012, Field Guide Amph. Rept. Seribuat Arch.: 40-42, for the Seribuat Archipelago, West Malaysia.
