Megophrys insularis (Wang, Liu, Lyu, Zeng, and Wang, 2017)

Xenophrys insularis Wang, Liu, Lyu, Zeng, and Wang, Zootaxa, 4324: 547. Holotype: SYS a002169, by original designation. Type locality: "Nan’ao Island (23°26'0.09" N, 117°4'45.61" E; 425 m a.s.l.), Shantou City, Guangdong Province, China".  

Megophrys insularis — Here (12 Oct. 2017), inasmuch as original description was made in apparent ignorance of the revision by Mahony, Foley, Biju, and Teeling, 2017, Mol. Biol. Evol., 34: 744–771.

None noted. 


Known only from the type locality, Nan'ao Island, Shantou City, Guangdong Province, China, 50–500 m elevation. 


Previously confused with Megophrys minor according to the original publication.
