Comment

The distinctiveness of this species from Leptobrachella alpina was questioned by Wang, Qi, Dai, Lyu, Zeng, Chen, Li, Zhao, Wang, and Wang, 2022, Zoosyst. Evol., Berlin, 98: 176, on the basis of morphological similarity and low genetic distance but refrained from making the synonymy pending additional work.
