Leptobrachella juliandringi Eto, Matsui, and Nishikawa, 2015, Curr. Herpetol., Kyoto, 34: 130. Holotype: SRC 00230, by original designation. Type locality: "Camp 2 of Gn. Mulu National Park, Sarawak, Malaysia (04° 02′ 20″ N, 114° 52′ 20″ E, 530 m asl)". 

English Names

Dring's Dwarf Litter Frog (original publication). 

Distribution

Throughout foothills of Sarawak, Malaysia, and into adjacent Bentuang Karimun National Park, Kalimantan, Indonesia, all on the island of Borneo; expected in Brunei.

Natural Resident: Indonesia, Malaysia, Malaysia, East (Sarawak and/or Sabah)

Likely/Controversially Present: Brunei

Comment

Confused with Leptobrachella mjobergi prior to its naming, according to the original publication. Eto, Matsui, and Hamidy, 2017, Curr. Herpetol., Kyoto, 36: 142–147, provided a record from Kalimantan, Indonesia, and provided a map of the range. Haas, Das, Hertwig, Bublies, and Schulz-Schaeffer, 2022, Guide to the Tadpoles of Borneo: 157–159, summarized the knowledge of habitat, reproduction, larval morphology and coloration.
