Mantidactylus (Phylacomantis) salegy Andreone, Aprea, Vences, and Odierna, 2003, Amphibia-Reptilia, 24: 289. Holotype: MRSN A2038, by original designation. Type locality: "Abolokopatrika forest at Campsite 3 (named Antsinjorana), 14° 32.6′ S, 49° 25.8′ E, 950-1,250 m, Andapa Fivondronana, Antsiranana Faritany (Province)", Madagascar.

Intact rainforest from Anjanaharibe-Sude south to the Masoala Peninsula in northeastern Madagascar, 500-1000 m elevation.
