Paratelmatobius poecilogaster Giaretta and Castanho, 1990, Pap. Avulsos Zool., São Paulo, 37: 133. Holotype: MZUSP 65372, by original designation. Type locality: "Paranapiacaba (aproximadamente 23° 47′ S, 46° 18′ W, 850 m de altitude)", municipality of Santo André, state of São Paulo, Brazil.

Distribution

Known from the type locality (Paranapiacaba), as well as Boracéia and Salesópolis, Serra do Mar range, state of São Paulo, Brazil). See comment.

Comment

The original publication included description of external adult and larval morphology. Santos, Magalhães, Lyra, Zaher, Giasson, Garcia, Carnaval, and Haddad, 2020, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 148 (106819): 1–18, noted three cryptic species in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.
