Pseudopaludicola pocoto Magalhães, Loebmann, Kokubum, Haddad, and Garda, 2014, Herpetologica, 70: 80. Holotype: CFBH 26842, by original designation. Type locality: "Santa Quitéria Municipality, Ceará State, Brazil (04° 19′ S, 40° 10′ W; 20 m asl)".

Distribution

Northeastern Brazil in caatinga habitats of Ceará, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, and Pernambuco and the Chapada Diamantina region of Bahia; an isolated record in eastern Minas Gerais.

Distinguishable reliably by call but not morphology from Pseudopaludicola facureae, Pseudopaludicola hylaeaustralis, Pseudopaludicola mineira, Pseudopaludicola mysticalis, Pseudopaludicola parnaiba, and Pseudopaludicola ternetzi according to the original publication, where external morphology and advertisement call were described. Andrade, Barros, Oliveira, Juncá, and Magalhães, 2015, Herpetol. Notes, 8: 227–229, reported the species from Sítio Santa Luzia, municipality of Carlos Chagas, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Silva, Lima, Santos, Souza, and Pederassi, 2015, Herpetol.
