Pseudopaludicola hyleaustralis Pansonato, Morais, Ávila, Kawashita-Ribeiro, Strüssmann, and Martins, 2012, Zootaxa, 3523: 50. Holotype: UFMT 5560, by original designation. Type locality: "on the right margin of the Apiacás River (Salto do Apiacás waterfalls; 10° 20′ S; 56° 56′ W), municipality of Alta Floresta, state of Mato Grosso, Brazil".

Known from four localities (municipalities of Colniza, Alta Floresta, Nova Bandeirantes, and Aripuanã) in Mato Grosso, Brazil.

Comment

Closely related to Pseudopaludicola canga according to the original publication. Carvalho, Teixeira, Borges-Martins, and Giaretta, 2015, North-West. J. Zool., Romania, 11: 262–273, provided call characteristics and further diagnosed this species from Pseudopaludicola canga and others.
