Pleurodema alium Maciel and Nunes, 2010, Zootaxa, 2640: 54. Holotype: MCNAM 7169, by original designation. Type locality: "Grão Mogol (16° 19′ 20″ S, 47° 13′ 10″ W; 970m altitude), Minas Gerais State, Southeastern Brazil".

Distribution
The type locality in the municipality of Grão Mogol, Minas Gerais, and in the municipality of Caetité, Bahia, Brazil, both localities in high-elevation rock meadows of the Espinhaço mountain range
Comment
Similar to Pleurodema diplolister and previously confused with that species according to the original publication.
