Physalaemus evangelistai Bokermann, 1967, Rev. Brasil. Biol., 27: 138. Holotype: WCAB 14708, by original designation; now in MZUSP. Type locality: "próximo a Palácio, Km 105 da estrada que vai de Lagoa Santa A Guanhães e Conceição do Mato Dentro, Serra do Cipó, município de Jaboticatubas, Minas Gerais, Brasil".
