Kassina maculata Parker, 1931, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 10, 7: 496. Holotype: BMNH 1930.11.19.42 by original designation; renumbered BM 1947.2.9.86, according to museum records. Type locality: "Sandaru, E. Sierra Leone". Secondary homonym of Hylambates maculatus Duméril, 1853.

Hylambates cochranae Loveridge, 1941, Proc. U.S. Natl. Mus., 91: 125. Syntypes: USNM 109569, MCZ 24465 (formerly USNM 109570, according to Barbour and Loveridge, 1946, Bull. Mus. Comp. Zool., 96: 125). Type locality: "Bendaja, Republic of Liberia".

Distribution

Forest in eastern Sierra Leone eastward through Liberia and southern Guinea to western Ivory Coast and southern Ghana.
