Hyperolius ruvuensis Barratt, Lawson and Loader in Barratt, Lawson, Bittencourt-Silva, Doggart, Morgan-Brown, Nagel, and Loader, 2017, Herpetol. J., 27: 17. Holotype: BMNH 2002.410, by original designation. Type locality: "Ruvu South Forest Reserve (07° 02’ 21.1” S; 38° 54’ 58.3” E, 230 m a.s.l) by Frontier-Tanzania".

Distribution

Known only from the vicinity of the type locality (Ruvu South Forest Reserve, 230 m in Frontier-Tanzania), Tanzania.

Comment

In the spiny-throated clade (Hyperolius burgessi, Hyperolius davenporti, Hyperolius minutissimus, Hyperolius ruvuensis. Hyperolius spinigularis, Hyperolius ukwiva) according to the original publication. Channing and Rödel, 2019, Field Guide Frogs & Other Amph. Afr.: 208–209, provided a brief account and range map.
