In the Hyperolius tuberculatus group of the Hyperolius viridiflavus complex according to Schiøtz, 1999, Treefrogs Afr.: 195–196, who provided a brief account and map and distinguished Hyperolius nimbae and Hyperolius tuberculatus on call differences.
