Hyperolius endjami Amiet, 1980, Rev. Suisse Zool., 87: 445. Holotype: JLA 75.189, by original designation; now MHNG 2006.77 according to Schätti, Perret, and Mariaux, 2002, Cat. Comm. Types Amph. Rept. Mus. Hist. Nat. Geneve, Vers. 4.0 (Jan. 2002): 9. Type locality: "Kala (20 km W de Yaoundé), env. 800 m d'altitude", Cameroon.

English Names

Yaounde Reed Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 67).


Two populations in southern Cameroon, one from Mboassoum and Mankouat to Fopouanga and another from near Kribi to Yaounde.


Similar, and possibly related, to Hyperolius acutirostris and Hyperolius mosaicus according to Schiøtz, 1999, Treefrogs Afr.: 136, who provided a brief account and map.
