Hyperolius bolifambae Mertens, 1938, Abh. Senckenb. Naturforsch. Ges., 442: 28. Holotype: SMF 22457, according to R. Laurent IN Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 208. Type locality: "Bach an der Faktorei Bolifamba", Mount Cameroon, Cameroon.

Hyperolius erythropus Laurent, 1943, Ann. Mus. R. Congo Belge, Tervuren, Zool., 4: 102. Holotype: MRAC 315, by original designation. Type locality: "Medje (Uele)", northern Dem. Rep. Congo. Synonymy by Laurent, 1943, Bull. Mus. R. Hist. Nat. Belg., 19: 11.

Distribution

Southeastern Nigeria through Cameroon to southwestern Central African Republic; isolated record in northeastern Dem. Rep. Congo; presumably to be found in Rep. Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon.

Comment

 Schiøtz, 1963, Vidensk. Medd. Dansk Naturhist. Foren., 125: 70–71, provided records for Nigeria. Pauwels and Rödel, 2007, Herpetozoa, Wien, 19: 135–148, did not note the species as occurring in Gabon. Schiøtz, 1999, Treefrogs Afr.: 141–142, provided a brief account and map.
