Crossodactylus timbuhy Pimenta, Cruz, and Caramaschi, 2014, Arq. Zool., São Paulo, 45: 19. Holotype: MZUSP 69129, by original designation. Type locality: "Reserva Biológica (REBIO) Augusto Ruschi (formerly REBIO Nova Lombardia; between coordinates 19°45’ and 20°00’S, 40°27’ and 40°38’W according to IBAMA, no date of publication), Municipality of Santa Teresa, State of Espírito Santo, Brazil".

Comment

In the Crossodactylus dispar complex and previous confused with that species according to the original publication. Lacerda, Montesinos, Zocca, Guimarães, Santana, and Ferreira, 2022, Zootaxa, 5155: 564–580, reported on range, molecular markers, comparative adult and larval morphology, color in life, vocalization repertoire, and rejected the record from Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, Espírito Santo, Brazil.
