Crossodactylus schmidti Gallardo, 1961, Neotropica, 7: 34. Holotype: MACN 2943, by original designation. Type locality: "Yacú-poí, sobre río Uruguaí, 30 km al E de Puerto Libertad, Misiones, Argentina".

Distribution

Misiones, Argentina, and adjacent southeastern Paraguay; western Paraná, northern and western Rio Grande do Sul, and western Santa Catarina, Brazil, 300-750 m elevation.
