Sphaenorhynchus canga Araujo-Vieira, Lacerda, Pezzuti, Leite, Assis, and Cruz, 2015, Zootaxa, 4059: 98. Holotype: UFMG-A 5715, by original designation. Distribution
Known from permanent, semi-permanent, and less frequently in temporary natural ponds over ironstone outcrops in the southernmost part of the Espinhaço Range in the municipality of Mariana, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Comment
Most similar to Sphaenorhynchus orophilus according to the original publication.
