Comment

Not assigned to species group, although associated with the Hyla ruber group by Bokermann, 1969, Rev. Brasil. Biol., 29: 159-162. In the Scinax ruber clade, unassigned to group, of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 97. Santana, Costa, Drummond, Ferreira, and Feio, 2009, Check List, 5: 246-248, provided the first record for Alagoas, discussed and mapped the range and provided a photograph. Protázio, Cavalcanti, Mesquita, and Protázio, 2011, Herpetol. Rev., 42: 108-109, provided a record for Paraíba (state) and commented on the range. Placed in error in Ololygon by Duellman, Marion, and Hedges, 2016, Zootaxa, 4104: 26, inasmuch as Hyla aurata is the type species of Scinax, a genus recognized by  Duellman, Marion, and Hedges, 2016, Zootaxa, 4104: 26, separate from Ololygon
