Scinax faivovichi Brasileiro, Oyamaguchi, and Haddad, 2007, J. Herpetol., 41: 272. Holotype: CFBH11602, by original designation. Type locality: "Ilha de Porcos Pequena (23° 25′ 20.6″ S; 44° 51′ 19.6°W), Municipality of Ubatuba, São Paulo State, Brazil".

In the Scinax perpusillus group according to the original publication. Bell, Brasileiro, Haddad, and Zamudio, 2012, J. Biogeograph., 39: 1733-1742, reported on molecular phylogenetics of this and closely related species.
