Osteocephalus leoniae Jungfer and Lehr, 2001, Zool. Abh. Staatl. Mus. Tierkd. Dresden, 51: 324. Holotype: MHNSM 20350, by original designation. Type locality: "in a forest near Pozuzo (10° 04′ 10″ S, 75° 31′ 42″ W; 1000 m above sea level), Provincia Oxapampa, Departamento de Pasco, Peru".
