Removed from the synonymy of Osteocephalus buckleyi by Lynch, 2006, Caldasia, 28: 141, where it had been placed by Trueb and Duellman, 1971, Occas. Pap. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 1: 19.
