Hyla ephemera Meik, Canseco-Márquez, Smith, and Campbell, 2005, Zootaxa, 1046: 20. Holotype: MZFC 17049, by original designation. Type locality: "between Santa Maria Guienagati and Lachidola, 1100 m, (16.759° N 95.461° W), north slope of Cerro Las Flores, Oaxaca, Mexico".

Plectrohyla ephemeraFrost, 2006, Amph. Spec. World, vers. 4.0. Recommended combination implied by the original assignment to the "Hyla" bistincta group.

Cerro Las Flores Spikethumb Frog (Liner and Casas-Andreu, 2008, Herpetol. Circ., 38: 20).


Known only from the region of the type locality ("between Santa Maria Guienagati and Lachidola, 1100 m, north slope of Cerro Las Flores, Oaxaca, Mexico).
