Plectrohyla teuchestes Duellman and Campbell, 1992, Misc. Publ. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 181: 15. Holotype: KU 58831, by original designation. Type locality: "Finca Los Alpes, ca. 1000 m, Departamento Alta Verapaz, Guatemala (15° 22′ N, 90° 01′ W)".

Hyla teuchestes — Wiens, Fetzner, Parkinson, and Reeder, 2005, Syst. Biol., 54: 25, by implication.

English Names

Alta Verapaz Spikethumb Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 62).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (elevation 1000 m) on the southern slope of the Sierra de Xucaneb in eastern Guatemala.
