Type locality: "Costa Rica, [Provincia San José, Cantón de Coronado,] La Palma, alt. 1600 metres". Savage, 1974, Rev. Biol. Tropical, 22: 100, commented on the type locality.

Distribution

Elevations of 1000–2400 m in the highlands of Costa Rica and on the Pacific slopes of western Panama; on the Pacific slopes of Costa Rica to 865 m.
