Charadrahyla tecuani Campbell, Blancas-Hernández, and Smith, 2009, Copeia, 2009: : 287. Holotype: MZFC 22090, by original designation. Type locality: "Sierra Madre del Sur: Carretera Bajos de Balzamar-La Sierrita, Sierra Madre del Sur, Guerrero, Mexico, 1552 m, 17.6422°N, 100.8180°W".

Known only from the type locality in cloud-forest in the western portion of the Sierra Madre del Sur of Guerrero.
