Type locality: "Colombia, Departamento de Cauca, Municipio de Páez (Bealcázar), km 34.5 carretera Belalcázar at Tacueyó, hacienda Montenegro, flanco oriental de la Cordillera Central, 2° 50′ latitud N, 76° 4′ longitud W de Greenwich; 2400 m."
