Hyla polytaenia cipoensis Lutz, 1968, Pearce-Sellards Ser., 12: 9. Holotype: MNRJ 4039, by original designation. Type locality: "near Alto do Palacio, in Cerra do Cipó, municipality Jaboticatubas, between Lagoa Santa and Ferros, Minas Gerais, at approximately 1,300 meters elevation", 19° 30′ S, 43° 44′ W, Brazil.
