Gastrotheca psychrophila Duellman, 1974, Occas. Pap. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 22: 15. Holotype: KU 120760, by original designation. Type locality: "ridge between Loja and Zamora, 2850 m, 13-14 km E (by road) of Loja, Provincia Zamora-Chinchipe, Ecuador".

Distribution

Limited region at an elevation of 2750–2850 m on a ridge, the Abra de Zamora, between Loja and Zamora, in the Cordillera Oriental in southern Ecuador.
